[Anime First Look]/Sparrow's Hotel

Well, we decided to give this one a whirl...it looked amusing enough but I think we came away from things a bit more confused than anything else. Both of us here were looking forward to it as stated in a preview article and while I'm used to shorts, this one seemed to be a bit rushed. The first episode was pretty shaky on all fronts from what I could tell, even more so than usual for this type of show.

From an animation standpoint, CK and I both felt like we were watching an older anime from the style that was used. It was a bit rigid and heavily drawn compared to a lot of things that have come out in the recent years. So, that was a bit jarring for us but we could still appreciate it a little bit regardless. That said, with only a few minutes to gauge just what was going on or how thing will progress.

For now it'll stay in our watch list, just to see how things go for the next episode and if any improvements are made. Again, it's a short so sometimes the first one of the lot is all kinds of messy, so we'll give it a chance to grow on us.
