[TekkoX2]/Dazzle Vision Crushes Pittsburgh

Music is an extremely important part of things at Tekko, so much so that their tag line for the convention is a "Japanese Pop Culture Convention with a Music Addiction". It should be to no surprise that they nailed it once again with their concerts this past weekend.

Saturday night at TekkoX2, main events was turned into concert venue for CANTOY and Dazzle Vision's performances. Not exactly a small feat as the room was used for a variety of things during the day, the masquerade, Chii Sakurabi's performance and then later the "dance" with Initial P manning the helm for nearly 3 hours (which is insane btw).

Sadly we didn't manage to get any footage of the CANTOY show due to some equipment issues and needing to recharge batteries something fierce after everything else that had taken place throughout the day.

However, we did manage to get things in gear for Dazzle Vision's performance and managed to take a ton of pictures (as well as get nearly the entire show on video). Needless to say, it was an amazing show and they really brought their A-game. CK and I haven't had that much fun at a concert in a long while and the band definitely didn't hold anything back.

For those curious, this was Dazzle Vision's second time performing in the US. Their American debut was back in 2010 at Sakuracon, playing to a crowd of over 4,000. Which, interestingly enough, is
roughly the attendance numbers that TekkoX2 saw this year. That said, the energy of the crowd felt like it was 8x as large as it was and the band fed off every ounce given. From emerging from the crowd at the start to the crowd surfing before the encore, they were 120% the entire show.

Just how lead singer, Maiko, manages to bottle all that up and unleash it...we'll never know. That screaming and then the switch to almost sweet vocals is a bit disturbing but ever so incredibly awesome to experience. She also makes one of the best Luffy's I've ever seen!

They really did seem to have a blast at the convention in every aspect of things, was great to see them having a blast with everyone there. At any given moment you could spot them doing something amusing and/or bizarrely fun.

Now, I could wax poetic about things for endless paragraphs here, but I think I'll just let the videos and pictures do the talking!

Keep the playlist going for most of the concert!
