[Anthrocon]/A Raver's Dream

We kind of started this a bit with our coverage of Anime North and then continued it with Colossalcon during their dances and with the line up that Anthrocon had on Saturday night, it was neigh possible to pass up the chance once again. This time, we were able to get up on stage to get up close and personal with the DJ's and also get some really killer shots of the crowd.

Now, I know what you're thinking...why just cover Saturday night? Simple really, there's so much to do during Anthrocon that it's impossible to be everywhere. Sure, we had four of us there, but even then it's insane to even try. So, we decided to experience other things and save this coverage....especially for Renard, who closed things down and rocked Pittsburgh with an amazing set. The other DJ's on Saturday night were Firr and Akonite and while we missed a bit of Akonite's set...we definitely didn't miss Renard.

To every other con out there...this is how you do it. The set up that Anthrocon brings to the table is truly amazing and they take up the entire Spirit of Pittsburgh ballroom with it, a massive space and they fill it with sound from 200 amps, lasers and noise like no other event. The energy from the DJ's and the crowd is completely mental. When it all comes together in a bath of sound, color, sweat and energy...it's something truly brilliant.
