[Howl-O-Scream]/#9: The Zombie Drags in a New Maze!

Straight out of the bottomless pit of nightmare fuel that Busch Gardens Tampa seems to have the keys to, they've gone and announced the #9 Evil of "The 13": The Zombie.

Have to say that it looks like my guess of "I have earthly idea" and +Carrie H.C.'s of "Ghost of somekind" where definitely off on this one. Just a little, okay a lot. Though, it had to be done sooner or later I guess, eh?

Anyway, it seems that Central Florida is ripe for the infection of a life time! With Universal's HHN 23 giving a major boost to the zombie craze with The Walking Dead taking over their event (more on that later), it's Busch Gardens' turn to unleash the infection as well. Not only that but it's also a new maze announcement to boot!

What do we know of this newest evil to be brought to light? Well, the Howl-O-Scream website has that covered for us as always:
The epidemic is among us and is quickly spreading. The undead are slowly infesting every major city and small town. Could this be the Zombie Apocalypse?
You’ve managed to defend and defeat hordes of zombies as you venture to your next safety spot. In an attempt to hide from a group of undead, you sneak into a cracked door of a building, watching every inch around you. You’ve found yourself in a mortuary, Zombie Mortuary to be exact, where #9 The Zombie and his friends are eager to feed on your fresh flesh.
Can you survive? One bite is all it takes.

What of this Zombie Mortuary? Well, here's a little look at what we can expect from this new haunt at Howl-O-Scream:

No one remembers how the epidemic started, but now, the #9 Zombie and his undead friends live here. They infest this small town funeral home and feed on the fresh flesh and brains of mortuary mourners to satisfy their insatiable hunger.

Avoid the walking dead or you may find yourself deeper than six feet under.

Definitely interesting to see and I can't say that I'm overly surprised on this one. While Universal may be overdoing it with the zombie theme this year, Howl-O-Scream isn't shying away from one of the most beloved monsters of the past 40 years either. I'm really curious to see the difference in what they do with it compared with the "set in stone" ideas that The Walking Dead leaves for HHN. Good thing we're going to both events, eh?

That said, who's next? Well, guessing by the order of things that #2 will be announced sometime in the very near future along with the newly teased #8. I'm going to have to go with "Redneck Zombie Murder Family" for #2, I mean what else could it be, right? As far as #8 goes...yeah, no clue there at all but I'm getting a Firestarter kinda vibe from it for some reason. Maybe a hellhound? What do you think?
