We've logged many, many miles on the road and taken so many pictures and videos it's hard to keep up with them. The past couple of months have been a lot slower around here and the break has definitely been nice. However, that will soon come to an end and we've got a ton of new things planned for the new year that should be pretty great, or hilariously horrible...the jury's still out on that one.
It's really hard to imagine 2014 being any more insane, but it's looking every bit that way right now. So, for those curious as to where Kitsuneverse will likely be landing, here's a short list; Ohayocon, Katsuocon, Tekko 2014, Anime North, Colossalcon, Midwest Haunters Convention, Anthrocon and Otakon. There might be a couple of others and the list could change a little, but as always mid-Sept thru early November is dedicated to haunt season and this year we're going to do our best to review even more of the amazing haunts that are out there!
Top all that off with trips to Southern California and another trip to Orlando as well as a few other places with InSanity lurks Inside and it's shaping up to be utterly insane once more. I'm sure we'll have some time to actually sleep...at some point. It has been known to happen from time to time...I think.
Still have to get out the "best of 2013" posts to get to as well. It's taken me a little longer to put those together with the holidays and traveling for them, besides who the hell would read them tonight? That and I kinda like the idea of finishing out the year 100% before something like that is posted, dunno why, but hey...I'm kinda weird like that. Either way, I'll have 'em up here soon-ish and then we'll be moving forward at full speed once again!
All in all, 2013 really has been awesome and couldn't have been possible without the awesome staff here and a few of our other friends out there (Yes, we actually have those, we think). Huge thanks go out to +Carrie H.C., +Alexandra F and +Madeline Eckhart. Seriously, you guys rock and here's to more insane adventures in the new year!
That said, there will likely be a few changes around here due to the extensive travel and other expenses that are quickly adding up for us. To be on the level with all of you, I'm not sure exactly how this is going to work. Advertisements for conventions, haunts and other related products could very well make their way into the mix. We also thought about just begging for money or getting sponsorships, but I'm not sure we've sunk to that level just yet. Sure we have the donate button, but I don't think anyone's actually used it yet (no, they haven't). Not like I actively promote it either, it's just there for anyone who may want to help out and likes what we do. Though, I get many may not.
Either way, this is something that we feel that we may have to do to keep doing what we love and bring you all the best coverage of things that we can. We don't get paid to this and while we do get into events and other things for free, we still have travel and lodging costs to keep in mind on top of living day to day normally.
So, hopefully something figures itself out, but in the meantime get ready for an insanity filled 2014!
