[Gaming] Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Coming to the 3DS in 2015!

A few hours ago, during a special Monster Hunter event, Capcom announced that they weren't leaving Western hunters out of the loop with a very special announcement. During the event, Monster Hunter 4G was announced for the Japanese market, but that wasn't all.

Monster Hunter producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, went on to announce that Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will be released in the west in early 2015, exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS system. This will mark the first release of Monster Hunter 4 outside of Japan.

Like Monster Hunter 3G/3Ultimate, this incarnation of the franchise will expand upon the original Monster Hunter 4. New monsters, armor, quests and of course, online play as well as the local multiplayer that fans of the series have been accustomed to. In addition to this there are new ways to traverse the landscape and even ride on the monsters themselves. If you're curious to see what some of that entails, here's the video of Ryozo Tjuimoto's announcement:

One thing that was absent, unlike the release of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate in the west, there was no mention of a version coming out for the Wii U. However, I wouldn't put too much stock into that though, that could be something that Capcom and Nintendo are saving for a later trade show appearance.

It'll be interesting to see what more develops from this and I'll be sure to keep my eye out for any news on an eventual Wii U release and other news from MH4U!
