[Manga] Next Volume of The World God Only Knows to be the Last

Well, this one is a bit sudden. The team behind The World God Only Knows manga have decided to call it quits after the next release, Volume 26. Even the way that they announced it, with the wrap around jacket cover of Volume 25 is surprising at that.

Sure, it's a little strange that a last arc wasn't announced, as per the usual custom with manga creators. However, many fans don't seem to be too surprised either as there didn't seem to be too much more which could be squeezed out story wise. Most seem to be of the opinion that after the Goddesses arc there just wasn't much left in the tank anyway. So maybe this is a good thing in the long run too.

What this means for future anime series or OVA projects is a bit of a toss up. There is a lot of material that hasn't been featured in the various anime series and OVA's that have come out over the years, but just how that would be put together is anyone's guess at this point. That is, if anyone really even attempts to do such in the postmortem period at all.

You can catch the latest anime series, The World God Only Knows: Goddesses which aired last summer, on Crunchyroll as well as Seasons 1&2.
