[Haunts] Castle Blood to Kickstart Their 2014 Season

The above video says it all in pure vintage Castle Blood style, but in case you didn't catch it all, here's the rundown of what's going on with Pennsylvania's most unusual haunt...

As I talked about just last week, Gravely and the rest of the gang at Castle Blood are moving into a 100 year old funeral home for the 2014 season and beyond. This will be their 5th home in 21 years and the past couple of years have seen quite a bit moving around around Monessen, hopefully this is the last time they have to do this, for their own sanity if nothing else!

However, moving is a pain, even more so when you consider all of the sets, props, lighting and other things that a haunt has. It's a daunting task and that's without any of the other challenges that they'll be facing in the coming months too.

A look at Castle Blood's new home!
Top all that off with needing to do lots of work to the new building in a variety of ways and they just can't do it alone. As Gravely says, "it's not possible without the fans", and now they're going to be asking for a little help. In just a couple of weeks they'll be launching a Kickstarter program to help out with the costs of moving and renovating the their amazing new home to make it as perfect (and up to code) as possible.

So, if you're a fan of unusual and unique haunts, considering helping out however you can. Once the Kickstarter campaign goes live (around May 15th), I'll have all the details so stay tuned! This is one haunt that definitely deserves all the help they can get as they put on a great show.

Don't believe me? We've been to their last three events and the reviews from +Carrie H.C.+Alexandra F and myself all come to the same conclusion, they're awesome. Go and check 'em out for yourself if you're curious!

Castle Blood isn't your typical haunt, you do not "get chased by chainsaws to the gift shop" and you're challenged to become part of the experience and not just walk by it. If you're anywhere near the Pittsburgh area, this is not just a haunt but something for locals to hang their hat on and be proud to live near enough to visit multiple times. This truly is a gem out there in the world of haunted attractions and it's my own personal hope that everyone can try and support their move into what's hopefully their forever home.
