[Haunts] Spring and Easter Haunt Mega Post

Well, the saying around here goes "It's Halloween Everyday" and in the past couple of years, haunts around the US haven't let us down on that one at all. After all, nothing says spring like demonic zombie bunnies, right? I mean just look at those cute little guys there, so cuddly and adorable!

This year is no exception to that as there are definitely a few interesting events happening at a haunted attraction near you! (maybe). Some are themed, some aren't and it's just a crazy managerie of crazy that only the haunted attraction biz can bring to the table.

Big hat tip to +Fright Bites for finding this stuff out and posting about it on her blog as well. If you're looking for some cool horror and haunt related stuff, definitely check out the Fright Bites blog! Also, if you know of any other haunts that will be open this spring or just for Easter, let me know and I'll update the list.

Alright, enough of that, let's get down to why ya came...the haunts. It's a short list this time around, but at least there's a few things out there!

Rottentail Slaughterhouse - Brighton Asylum (Passaic, NJ)

Of course +Brighton Asylum would be taking advantage of another holiday and turning it's on ear, why wouldn't they? This April 19th, one night only, the Passaic, NJ attraction is set to go crazy once again. This one should prove to be quite interesting, to say the least.

However, right now there's not a lot of details surrounding just what it'll entail. More info will be coming out according to their Twitter account. Definitely going to want to stay tuned on this one. If you're looking to get tickets early, better act fast. The early bird special code EARLYBIRD for 40% off ends today!

For more info, head over to their official website to pick up tickets and a lot more other strange stuff.

Keep reading for the rest, some of them start tonight so you don't want to miss out!

Spring Scream - Talladega Frights (Bakersfield, CA)

This April 13th-20th, the folks at Talladega Frights are unloading a ton of scares and just a damn good time on unsuspecting spring breakers. Behind the Kern County Museum they'll be celebrating spring... Talladega style! Promising all new frights, new scares, and even a DJ Dance Party on an all new HUGE dance floor. Need to cool off? How about a ride down our 100-ft. water slide!

Hey, why not, right? Definitely seems like an interesting one and tickets cost only $20 either at the gate or through their official website. For more info check that out or their Facebook event page!

Spring Fever - Dark Hour Haunted House (Plano, TX)

Okay, so this one actually starts tonight, better late than never getting the info out, huh? Either way, this 30,000 square foot shrine to terror in Plano, TX is bringing on the scare for this weekend! Tickets run $26 a pop, but you get three unique areas for that and this time they're all overrun by a zombie outbreak.

Spring Fever is a show that they've never done before and promises to be a very unique and insane journey as you try to escape the infestation that's taken over the massive complex. Think you can survive? Head on over to their official website for tickets, hours and a whole lot more!

Also, keep an eye out as they'll be open one weekend a month for other special events throughout the coming months as well.

Easter Killing - Scream Acres CT (Covington, KY)

No clue on just what the folks down in Covington, KY have in store for this one, but it's definitely interesting. I mean bunnies with axes, what can go wrong with that scenario? I can't think of anything...well, nothing that bad.

Either way, the event runs on April 18th and 19th and you can check out their official website or hit them up their Facebook page or on Twitter for more info and even a few deals and giveaways!

Special Engagement - Kim's Krypt (Essex, MD)

Okay, while it's not themed to a holiday or anything, Kim's Krypt will be open for one night only on May 2nd to celebrate being part of the National Haunters Covention's Haunt Tour! So, because of the honor, they've flung open the doors and are inviting everyone to the party...if they can survive the madness.

Tickets are $20 a person and the event runs from 7-10:30pm, definitely don't want to miss one and I know we'll be there as part of our NHC coverage!

Check out the official Kim's Krypt website for more info and tickets!

And there ya have it, all the haunts that I could find that are open and ready to scare the crap out of ya this April. For more haunt news and other insanity, follow along on Twitter @KitsuneHazard, Tumblr and of course Google+ . Or if you're feeling masochistic, follow us on Facebook too.
