[HHN] "Face Off: In the Flesh" Coming to Halloween Horror Nights 2014!

Universal Orlando and Hollywood just announced via Twitter that this year's line up of The Walking Dead and From Dusk till Dawn will be getting a new addition.

This time? It's a bit of a mixed bag with "Face Off: In the Flesh". It will be coming to both Hollywood and Orlando, but in different forms. First off, at Universal Orlando this will be an all new scare zone for the 2014 season. Out in Hollywood? In the Flesh will be getting the full maze treatment for their Halloween Horror Nights Event.

Teaming up with SyFy's Face Off is definitely an interesting move on this, but there's been a ton of great talent that's been featured on and come out of it. There's a chance you've likely run into some of the work done by contestants in other haunts throughout the US as well. How this all shakes out will be quite intriguing to say the least.

In Orlando, the scare zone will feature 10 different actors in 5 uniquely themed sections within it from the talented special fx and make up artists. That will be interesting to see and definitely should be some insanely detailed characters given the small cast size. Sure, they double things up with two casts at HHN, but that's still only 20 actors to deal with on any given night. Going to be looking out for the quality of the work on this one for sure!

Update: As we know, Universal Hollywood will be treating Face Off: In the Flesh as a full maze experience. Here guests will go face to face with some of the best creations from the show's history. 22 different monsters in all will be waiting in the dark to terrify those who wander into their domain. Two of the themes that can be expected are an "insect-human hybrid" kind of thing and one based of the key art that's at the bottom of the post here, Alice in Zombieland. Additionally music for the maze will be provided by FIGURE (@ImFigure), a returning HHN musical alum.

It's interesting to see the different treatments and if they as much effort into all the characters that the show does, this could be something really special indeed. Only time will tell on that one, but until we know for sure how that's gonna play out, here's the official announcement video!

This year's event runs on select nights from late September thru November 1st and you can find out more information about tickets, hours and exact dates at the official Halloween Horror Nights website!
