[Haunts] Kennywood Announces Dates, Prices and More as Phantom Fright Nights Turns 13

Well, the folks at Kennywood have finally dished out all the details for their 13th year of terrifying the Pittsburgh locals. Hard to believe it's been 13 years already, and it's been a couple since we've visited for a review at that (but that's another story).

Either way, this year's event kicks off Sept 26th and runs every Friday and Saturday night from 7pm-11pm until November 1st. This year, like always, the park will be open on one Sunday night as well, October 12th. Tickets run $32.99 at the gate and as they say "no one ever pays that", so head over to the nearest Giant Eagle for $5 off.

I'd really love to say that there's more for this year and there should be, but there really isn't. The same exact line up that was in place the past few years is back. Even the exact same menu for their Pre-Scare Dinner nights is back again. This is just lazy, and I highly doubt they've really improved the returning haunts much (if at all).

Anyway, here's the line up for this year...same as the last year.

Death Valley Ghost Town, Fear Festival and Gory Park all come back as the trio of scare zones within the park and annual mazes are Dark Shadows, Villa of the Vampire, Mortem Manor, Voodoo Bayou, Kennyville Cemetery and Biofear. Of course, Haunted Noah's Ark is back as well, wouldn't be Fright Nights without that one!

So there ya have it, everything coming to this year's Phantom Fright Nights at Kennywood. This one's short and sweet because, again, nothing new. It's the same old, same old. I never like to give any haunt a bad wrap before experiencing it, but the last time we visited was almost so bad that I didn't even bother writing about them this year. Maybe we'll get invited back to see if things have improved, we'd love nothing more than to say they have.

For more info, check out the official Phantom Fright Nights website!

Stay tuned for more haunt news as haunt season is creeping up on us extremely quickly and there's still more news from a ton of indie haunts to get out there. Follow along with all the madness with us on Twitter, Google+, Tumblr and even Facebook for all the latest!

Also, +Carrie H.C. (of InSanity lurks Inside) and I will be kicking off our 2014 Haunt Tour on Sept 12th so keep an eye out for the reviews that'll be pouring in over the next couple of months too.
