[Haunts] Two New Mazes, an All New Scare-Zone and More Coming to Dorney Park's Halloween Haunt

The wait is over, this past Friday night Dorney Park held a season passholder event to unveil just what they have in store for 2014's Halloween Haunt. While the official website isn't live, here's a little rundown of what fans can expect from the new additions for this year.

Not only are there two new mazes coming for this year, but also a new scare zone and a couple of other surprises as well!

One of the biggest pieces of news is that the Skeleton Key will be coming to this year's Halloween Haunt at Dorney Park. Started last year at Knott's Berry Farm, this gives those who purchase the Fright Lane with Skeleton Key upgrade access to an additional room to go through in five different mazes. Also, for those who purchase Fright Lane there will be an exclusive maze available, Black Out.

Black Out will test the courage of small groups as they enter and try to find their way through the terror in total darkness. Also joining the maze line up this year will be the Chamber of Horrors, which takes over for the now retired Psycho Circus. Chamber of Horrors' theme is that of a haunted wax museum.

This year also marks the debut of CarnEVIL at Dorney Park. This scarezone, featured at many other Cedar Fair parks for their Halloween Haunt events. Not only that but included in this scare-zone will be an all new show, Skeleton Crew. This new show will feature acrobatics, strongman acts and other circus styled pieces all set to a Halloween theme.

So, as for the returning mazes, six of them will be back in 2014; Mansion House Hotel, Blood Shed, CornSalkers, Grave Walkers, The Asylum, and Desolation. This is along with the three returning scarezones; Cut Throat Island, Head Hunters and Age of Darkness.

More info will be out on Weds once the Dorney Park Halloween Haunt website goes live, but for now at least we know what's coming for this year's event thanks to the folks over at Coaster-Net!
