[HHN] Guitarist Slash Teams Up With Unviversal Hollywood for Clowns 3D at Halloween Horror Nights

Universal Hollywood announced this morning that legendary guitarist, Slash, will be lending his talents to an all new original maze for Halloween Horror Nights 2014, Clowns 3D.

While the house itself is not inspired by Slash or his music, it will feature an entirely new score composed by him. This marks yet another colaboration with musicians as the park has worked with the likes of Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie and most recently Black Sabbath in recent years.

This roadside attraction has seen much better days and once entering you'll wind through Sweet Licks Frozen Clown Pops Family Amusement Center, a rundown roadside attraction and former ice cream factory run by crazed clown Sweet Licks and his equally psycho children.

Here's the announcement trailer:

Clowns and 3D have been mashed up for years now, and typically it's something that I groan about hearing but with a soundtrack by Slash that could change a little. The tiny bit of it that you can hear in the video definitely has a really cool vibe about things and this one could be quite good indeed. Here's to hoping a few other tricks up their sleeves with this one too.

Here's a little more about how all this came to pass from HHN Creative Director, John Murdy, and of course, Slash himself via the original USA Today article.

"I'm a HUGE fan of Halloween Horror Nights and was inspired to partner with Universal Studios Hollywood because they are the founders of creating extreme horror," Slash said in a release. "I've been composing music for as long as I can remember and jumped at the chance to be an integral part of this year's event and create the original score for this creepy clown maze. I can't wait to see the fans' reactions and will be first in line to experience the maze myself."

John Murdy, creative director of Halloween Horror Nights, added, "It's an honor to collaborate with one of the most iconic rock legends around. From the moment I heard Slash's original composition for the maze, I immediately knew he got it, as the vibe and feel of his score are so right on. He captured the exact tone we were looking to convey to our guests."

Still a lot more to come so don't miss a thing and follow along with us on Twitter, Google+, Tumblr and even if Facebook (if you must) for all the latest news from Haunted Attractions as announcement season keeps trucking!
