[HoS] New Maze, Scare-Zones and More as a Curse Descends on Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld San Antonio

SeaWorld San Antonio has announced that this year's Howl-O-Scream event will be adding an all new maze, two new scare-zones, an all new dining experience and a even a couple more bars. Whew, that's a lot to take in, but it's good to see the event growing and trying out new things. This year's event will feature 5 mazes and 5 scare-zones or TERROR-tories as they like to call them.

First up on the new and shiny list? ICU - Intensive Cursed Unit. Here's how it's described by SeaWorld San Antonio;
Originally founded as a sanctuary for those inflicted with The Curse, the physicians and staff charged with finding a cure have begun to behave a bit strangely themselves. Is there any escape from this terrifying affliction? Can you survive The Curse?
Sounds like a new spin on the hospital theme and while that's not exactly new in and of itself, it could take some pretty cool twists here. Definitely nice to see the event's theme being pulled into a house as well.

Now onto the new TERROR-tories! Joining Vampire Point, Sideshow Row and Demon street will be two all new experiences for guests to brave. The first is Psycho Path.
The asylum walls have never been able to truly contain the mayhem found inside. Patients now run freely on the path spreading The Curse to whoever comes their way.
Definitely interesting and always fun to let the patients out for a little stroll, right? I'm thinking this is going to be near wherever they're putting ICU as the two fit perfectly together. Any other location definitely wouldn't make a whole lot of sense here. Also, good to see a maze and scare-zone dovetailing like this!

The next new TERROR-tory is Port of Skull. Anyone familiar with Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens Williamsburg will already have a good feeling for what this one is all about. Legions of undead pirates, who doesn't love a good undead pirate, right?

Of course, one can't have pirates and not have a bar nearby. It's just not natural. So, one of the new bars being featured during this year's event is of course, the Port of Skull bar.

Also joining the line up and most likely over near the new ICU and Psycho Path is Rehab, which is being touted as not only a bar but also a dance party. Odd, but hey, why not?

Rounding out the new additions for this year's event is Fright Feast: Cirque du Soulless. Not sure exactly what the show will be, but from the sounds of things it seems that it's an acrobatic show of some kind.
Come one, come all, to the most peculiar show on Earth! Wonder and fright mingle right before your eyes as you savor your last meal while astounded by a most extraordinary troupe of entertainers.
Keep in mind that this will require a reservation as showtimes are likely limited throughout the evening.

And there ya have it, everything that's new for this year's Howl-O-Scream at Sea World San Antonio. For more information check out the their official website for tickets, dates, times and more!
