[HoS] Wendigo Woods and the Return of Monster Stomp at Busch Gardens Williamsburg's Howl-O-Scream!

Prepare to be cursed at this year's Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. This year's theme revolves around a mysterious phone call, once you answer and listen to the song you'll share in the fate of The Cursed yourself. Each night it will be played throughout the park and guests will have to do their best to not listen. Can you survive?

Definitely creepy and reminds me a little of the song from the Darkside of the Gardens a couple of years back too. Though, now that we've all listened to it...we're screwed. Smooth, huh?

So, while we've covered everything that's returning already in a previous post, what else is in store for this year's Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens Williamsburg? An all new TERROR-tory and the return of a fan favorite show, Monster Stomp! The return of the wildly popular show this year will be located at The Globe Theater in Ripper Row, just as you enter the park.

This modern rock and rhythm spectacular features Jack the Ripper like you’ve never seen him before. The beat is back as electrifying percussion, dynamic dance, and sensational singing return to the stage in a pulse pounding revue that is darkly entertaining.

"Our guests tell us time and time again to bring back Monster Stomp", said Park President, Carl Lum. "Monster Stomp on Ripper Row is a complete revision to the classic production with high-tech thrills that can only be created at the Globe Theater stage."

But that's not all, a brand new scare-zone or TERROR-tory will be joining the list from last year. Located in New France, Wendigo Woods looks to terrify any and all that wander too far from the beaten path with all new fear.

Wendigo Woods™ started out as a state-of-the-art facility where researchers could study the flora and fauna of the northern reaches of the continent’s forests. The camp was named after a terrifying creature, the Wendigo, which was thought to be only a legend … until now. Sightings of mysterious creatures stalking through the woods have prompted a security team to shut down the compound and contain whatever is out there. Either unravel the mystery of Wendigo Woods or fall prey to the terror in the trees.

"The startles in Wendigo Woods are more psychological than physical", said Scott Gasparish, "Sometimes it's what you don't see that scares you the most."

Also joining the fun this year is an all new dining experience to go alongside the insanely good Blood Banquet. This time, located in the park's Ireland section, it looks like Igor has taken over for the doctor!

In Igor’s Fright Feast™, the doctor is out and now it’s Igor’s show. Guests can pull up a chair at the operating table and feast on an all-you-care-to-eat buffet as Igor and his alluring assistants host Igor’s Fright Feast™. The songs are as hot as the food and the drinks flow faster than an I.V. drip in this wacky and entertaining Howl-O-Scream dining experience.

Additionally, last year's Buccaneer Galley is getting a make over and becoming the Crow's Nest Grill™, a pirate-themed galley in the heart of Ports of Skull™.

And there ya have it, everything that's new for this year's Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. We're hoping to be there once again this year to see what other improvements they've made to their returning mazes, shows and scare-zones come mid-September so stay tuned, Haunt Season is almost here!
