[Haunts] Fright Farm Celebrates 25 Years of Fear!

Never one to rest, the folks at Fright Farm are always adding more insanity to the mix every year (and sometimes even during it). This year, their 25th year of causing nightmares, is definitely no exception to that as they've rolled out new spins on nearly everything they've got and then some. Let's just say that they've been drinking the nightmare fuel pretty fierce this time around.

Joining the ever changing line up this year are a couple of new experiences, though one could say Frightmare Mansion is an ever changing experience all itself. Not content, however, this year's Fright Farm will feature 5 unique and different experience for those brave enough to try and survive. As if the three last year weren't enough, right?

First up? The all new, Dead End Hayride.

For 2014 they've completely revamped their existing hayride and it sounds awesome!

Caught a ride out of town, did you? Didn’t know the world had moved on and left you behind? We can educate you on this, yes, indeed. It is on this ride that you begin to understand the full depravity of those you once called your fellow man. Do you posses the strength to survive in the broken down towns of Fayette County, a place where your kindest neighbor has become vicious and blood-thirsty? Are your good intentions enough to sustain you? Or will you find yourself trapped at a Dead End? Take a ride on the Dead End Hayride as it makes its way along the twisted path of Fayette County’s past. Tremble in fear as the terrors that reside in the dark emerge to chase you to your doom.

That's not all though, they've added in yet another level of terror for another all new attraction this year, Paranoia.

This all new for 2014 experience is sure to get the blood pumping and just what can folks expect? Well here's a little rundown from the site:

Abandon all thoughts of reason as you find yourself between the walls of PARANOIA. A cloth hood will be placed over your head, removing your sight. Which way to go? Hold on tight and follow the rope, it will guide you through this unique and intense sensory experience. With each step you take, you can hear the breathing and feel the presence of the demented creatures roaming the halls with the sole purpose of capturing it's visitors.

The hooded experience is something that's catching on as many other haunts out there are doing it, but I have to say...like the addition of the rope to help guide people here. I'm not sure if that's something that's standard or not, but a nice touch and should help get folks through...if they don't end up being a part of the place that is. Never know, right?

We're not done yet though, there's yet another new attraction that I haven't noticed in the past as well! Joining the roster of fear for this year is Hallow Grounds.

Do you dare to set foot on Fright Farm's Hallow Grounds? Your presence has awoken the residents of the Cemetery. Be prepared to meander into the depths of the Hallow Grounds through graveyards and underground mausoleums where you will encounter flesh-starved Zombies. Come quickly but watch your step! These unearthed souls will grab and drag you 6 feet under. Frantically, you stumble into a large barn for safety, only to discover that you are next in line to be butchered and hung with the array of slaughtered animals. A quick escape brings no relief, as you find yourself in the wet swamplands of the Bayou, where true horror awaits.

Okay, I'm not really sure where this one fits into things, it's gotta be after the hayride and before Frightmare, right? Though, it could be after or even in the middle of something too. It's hard to say with Fright Farm as the place is literally ever changing. Either way, definitely a cool addition and always nice to see things mixed into the flow even more.

We'll definitely be visiting Fright Farm this year and you can experience all the insanity for yourself starting on September 26th until November 2nd. For more information on ticket prices, dates, directions, times and all that other fun stuff, check out the official Fright Farm website
