[Haunts] Tampa's Newest Haunt, Vault of Souls, Launches Website and Other Details!

Okay, I'm still really not 100% sure what these guys are up to, but it's looking quite the interesting experience to say the least. Over the weekend, the website for Tampa's newest haunt, Vault of Souls, went live and it's full of more questions than answers. Not exactly a bad thing, but when trying to figure things out just gives one a little headache, in a good way, if that's even possible.

What we do know is that this new experience will be located within the former Exchange National Bank, and once you're inside, a whole new world of the paranormal and fear will be taking control of things. They'll also be open Friday and Saturday nights in October and the event is strictly for those 18 and up. Yeah, not a lot to go on right now, but there's some other news to go along with this as well.

The biggest thing behind Vault of Souls, at least to me, is that Scott Swenson, of Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens Tampa fame, has been brought on board as their creative director. This is some big news, and whatever they're planning should be quite the interesting show to say the very least with that kind of twisted mind power behind things.

Update: Check out an exclusive look at what's coming to Vault of Souls right here from my interview with Creative Director, Scott Swenson!

Speaking of that, just what else does Scott and the rest of the Vault of Souls team have in store? Well, that's a little harder to decipher from what's up on the website right now. From what I can gather, this is going to be some kind of "escape room" experience, and while that's not exactly new or original at all (several haunts in the US are doing these this year), it comes with a few caveats. Firstly, these types things are limited ticket events due to low throughput and the time to complete them. So, once tickets go on sale, you won't want to wait too long to decide on going.

I can't speak for the entire team behind Vault of Souls, but knowing what Swenson has done over at Howl-O-Scream in the past years, it's gonna be one helluva ride and not like any others out there.

Yes, that's speculating a lot, but considering the body of work here, not that far off to say such either. We were really impressed by a lot of things back in 2013 with Howl-O-Scream and for a few years there it was giving Universal Orlando's HHN a run for it's money, even beating it senseless in many areas too.

So, just like their website at the moment, what Vault of Souls will do is a mystery for now but I hope to shed a little more light on that in the very near future. We'll definitely be following this one and if time allows for it, we'll be checking in to get a first hand look at this during the Florida leg of Haunt Tour 2015!
