[Haunts] CarnEvil, Ghost Town Streets, and Fiesta de los Muertos Return for Knott's Scary Farm in 2015

Okay, so it looks like we have a bit more time here. Going to lay this one down pretty quickly, like I did for the rest of the maze line up just a short bit ago. This time, though, the focus is on the three scare zones that we know are coming back for Knott's Scary Farm in 2015.

As usual, there's a couple here that are likely to never go away, or at least not any time soon and as long as they keep them fresh and ad in some new wrinkles, that's a fine thing. I hate when things go stagnant for too long since that makes stuff go stale pretty quick. Thankfully, that doesn't seem to be the case here.

So, let's get down to it! First stop? Time to take a spin through the Boardwalk with those ever lovable clowns and CarnEvil.

"Knott’s Boardwalk is taken over by “CarnEVIL,” where the freak show is the main event and countless clowns crave your undying attention."

It's no secret at all that I'm never a fan of the overuse of clowns. However, in a scare zone, I seem to enjoy them. Maybe it's just the indoor themes that don't work or the actors are too constricted to truly wreak havoc. I dunno what it is.

Either way, this year the clowns and sideshow freaks are back and just dying for you to join them. You will, won't you?

Think fast on that, they may not take no for an answer...

Again, for a scare zone, have no problem with the clown thing. They also fit perfectly with the Boardwalk theme as well, so it's a good fit all around. As much as I loathe them at times, they're still so much fun to watch when done well. This one's also kind of a staple throughout the Cedar Fair chain for the Halloween Haunt events too, so not really one to quibble on.

Next up, time to survive the Ghost Town Streets.

"Ghost Town Streets is the original - and still most terrifying scare zone - that started it all. Bands of half-human, half-animal monsters prowl the streets and inhabit the fog. Beware the notoriously startling Sliders who lunge from every fog-filled corner of the land. New for this year, Ghost Town Streets has been expanded to the backstage maze area to create the largest scare zone in Scary Farm history, full of new surprises."

Well, there ya have it. The Scary Farm folks did a pretty good job nailing that one and not leaving out too much. It is the oldest section of the park and the original scare zone. Like the Green Witch, it'd just be wrong for this not to be involved with Scary Farm every year.

UPDATE: The Doll Maker from the Doll Factory will be making an appearance somewhere this one for this year! There also won't be anywhere that's safe...anywhere. Bathrooms, food, you name it...it's all fair game.

This year they're making things a little more intense by expanding the area for the scare zone and adding in even more monsters. That's a recipe that I can get behind, take what you got and dial it up to 11. My idea of fun right there.

Now, for something a little different. Not completely different, as it's returning but once again Fiesta de los Muertos makes its way back into the Scary Farm line up.

"Fiesta de los Muertos fuses dance music, colorful costumes, and larger than life stilt walkers in a dance party scare zone with even more characters than last year to create the ultimate late night celebration of Dia de los Muertos."

I'm not sure this one classifies as a "scare zone", it's more of a party zone but there's likely a few places here and there that will get some folks to jump. It's been a pretty long running trend for the larger events to include something like this and it's almost like a "safe zone" of sorts.

I'm not sure how I feel about them still, but hey, if it's your thing...go for it and enjoy it! I mean it's a Day of the Dead celebration, that's what ya do, right?

Alright, we've come to the end of everything that we know. This, along with the previous announcements is pretty much what's known so far. In just a few hours, we'll know a lot more about the rest of the event but until then, check out the Haunt Guide for any announcements you might've missed and a ton of other info on this year's Knott's Scary Farm!
