[Haunts] Dead Fall Returns for 2015's Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens Tampa

Well, if the Howl-O-Scream rumors from Busch Gardens Williamsburg weren't enough for ya, looks like there's a little matter of business to get to with Busch Gardens Tampa's event. I'm a little behind on this one as it was announced last week, but better late than never, right? Anyway, as they've been doing with announcements, this one is another returning maze from last year for the 2015 season. However, it appears that a few changes are likely as the "Thirst for Blood" tagline is new and that usually means a slightly different experience.

Here's the rundown from the official Howl-O-Scream Tampa site:
Humans and plants entwine with an insatiable thirst for blood, and the object of their hunger is YOU. Their sinister shadows lurk behind every corner of this overgrown Victorian garden and greenhouse, and the inhabitants wait to consume unsuspecting guests. Your arrival means…it’s feeding time!

Since we didn't get the chance to get down there last year for Howl-O-Scream, I'm really curious to see how drastic the changes are or if it's going to be something a bit more subtle. Will definitely be keeping an ear out for the comparisons from fans out there to see what they think as well.

So far though? There's been some animosity towards the creative team as nothing new at all has been announced. I can understand that, you don't want to see the same show year in and year out, but it's also something many parks go through. You just can't expect a total turnover every single year. Toss into the mix that Scott Swenson, the show's long time creative director has left, and there's a little instability there.

We're up to 6 mazes announced for this year and that's just one shy of what they typically have had in the past for their full line up. I hope that they're adding at least one new maze, two would be even better, but who knows just what they have planned. We also don't know what's going on with the scare zones yet, or if they're going with the Slash Mobs idea again either. If this is it for the maze line up, that'd be a bit shocking.

Hopefully the silence on what's new for 2015 will be changing in the coming weeks as we're just over a month out from the start of things. Time to turn that same old, same old feeling around!
