[HHN23]/HAVOC: Derailed Arriving at HHN Orlando!

#HHNRevealWeek for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando continues with it's third announcement; hot off the heels of last nights all new maze, Afterlife: Death's Vengeance and Monday's of La Lorona.

Next up on the nightmare train? A sequel to HHN XX's Havoc!

HAVOC: Derailed is another all original maze that's getting an update. So, if ya it missed the adrenaline filled chaos the first time around, here's your chance to experience all the mayhem...kicked up a few notches! 

WARNING: In this all-new original house the train convoy has derailed and the bloodthirsty maniacs are loose.

Escaping them this time will be a hard feat…the “Dogs of War” return to HHN23 in this sequel house, Havoc 2: Derailed.

Here's how it ties into the previous Havoc house from HHN20 according to the story for the new house and it's relation to the past iteration of it...

These are the things that are known:

• An experimental super soldier program known as the Dogs of War went horribly wrong. 
• Shadow Creek, the base that housed the program, was lost..the DOW's had taken it, but with great causality were eventually neutralized. 
• Six weeks have passed since the incident the surviving DOWs are being transported aboard a military convoy train. 
• Shadow Creek was to continue experiments en route to see if DOW subjects could be contained/pacified 
• 6 minutes into transport, all contact was lost

But Aiello didn't stop there, he included a few design images as well to follow up this little story. One of which, I assume, is the train and another described as "carnage and chaos".

As far as what to expect inside? Well, Mike hasn't let us down here either, giving us a few hints of how the maze will progress and what to expect inside:

"The battle will begin in the claustrophobic confines of train cars...then derailment into an all out war amongst the twisted wreckage..."

Okay, so maybe he was a bit short with this one tonight...but there's still another reveal coming tomorrow night "a passion project", but enough of that. On with more about tonight's announcement!

Havoc was onsidered by most to be the "House of the Year" from Halloween Horror Nights 20. That said, the return of this theme is a big surprise for me though.

It's interesting that it's the second "older theme" to get an update here for this year's event. They running out of ideas down there or something? Though, I have to wonder...will they be shaving scare-actors heads like they did the last time? I have a feeling that's gonna come back with this one...some of them really went all out for it too as you can see with the picture to the right. (Yes, that's a real tattoo.)

I gotta say, I love the story that they've put together for this as a continuation of the older house and it's definitely going to be interesting to see just what they've come up with to top the original experience.
