[HHN]/The Purge Announced by Universal Hollywood!

Well, if the announcement of HAVOC: Derailed by Universal Orlando wasn't enough for HHN fans out there, Universal Hollywood has come out with one of their own tonight! (Seriously, I think they're keeping me up on purpose tonight)

This time it's all new scare zone (we won't be hearing about those from Universal Orlando, they're all The Walking Dead) for the unsuspecting to be chased, cornered and utterly terrified in...

Prepare for...The Purge!

(Beeeep Beeeep Beep Beep Beep)

This is your emergency broadcast system, announcing the commencement of the annual PURGE....

At the siren, all emergency services will be suspended for 12 hours. 

Your government thanks you for your participation.

Just how is this theme fitting into things for this year's event? Well John Murdy, HHN Hollywood Creative Director, went into a little detail about just that:

"Some of you, but not all of you, may know about a little HHN secret Bonus Content we like to refer to as "The Opening Scare-a-mony. This is a little extra entertainment that kicks off the event every night..right before we open. If you haven't seen it, how to describe it? It reminds me of a battle scene in Braveheart...absolute freakin' chaos...but oh so much fun to watch! Perfect start to the night...HHN opens at 7...The Purge commences at 7...kinda perfect. So just to get into the park this year, you'll have to go through...The Purge!"

Gotta say that this one was a surprise, though the hints on their Facebook and Twitter accounts should've tipped this one off to folks...but then again, not a lot of people saw the movie from what I know. It did just come out after all. Either way, a scare zone with "no laws"? Oh boy...the scare-actors in there are going to have a blast, especially since it's right at the entrance to the park by the sounds of it. "Unfortunately for you...there is no way around it...its the only way into the park. So come forth thee or you will cease to be...." 

Those going in aren't going to know what hit them, that's for sure. From the sounds of it Murdy is a bit giddy about this one too, "You can not deny us, our right to PURGE. KInda of brilliant..we let a bunch of ya in. We Purge you..we can let more people in..we Purge them." 

Yeah, he's definitely into this one a good bit, "Heck...this could revolutionize theme parks as we know them...and solve overcrowding issues at the same time! No waiting in lines PURGE!!!!"

All I have to say to this is, it's about time! It's been a while since the Insidious announcement and even though we don't get any cool scare zones on the East Coast at least they haven't forgotten about them out in Hollywood!
